Up and over to St. Margarets church then Morehampton Farm, where it is possible to sample Gwatkin’s cider. Climb to Newbarns Wood, on to Lady Coppice and Timberline Wood. Back to the start via Poston House and Cum Du.

This walk takes in Mynydd Troed and Mynydd Llangorse and then joins the Beacons Way southwards over Cefn Moel to Bwlch. We return to the start over Allt yr Esgair and via the lovely old church of Llangasty-Talyllyn on the shores of Llangors Lake.

This walk passes through the Meadows, up past Llanfoist Cemetery and down to the banks of the river Usk, before using fields and lanes to Govilon. Returning along the old railway line and the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal.
Hopefully some lovely views to admire.

Geoff Williams, who is a founder member of BBPS, describes hiking along two great trails. First, the John Muir trail which crosses the mountain wilderness of California and is named after John Muir who was a driving force in the creation of National Parks. Then back home on the Cambrian Way which is the long distance route through some of the highest, wildest and most scenically beautiful parts of Wales. .

Start from the Information Point in the Taf Fechan  Forest, at the Neuadd Reservoir car park. GR SO038170 on OS map OL12, approx 1 mile south of the reservoir.
The route commences with a gradual ascent up the Gap Road to Bwlch ar y Fan, we then climb the impressive summits of Cribyn, Pen -y-Fan & Corn Du. The walk continues onto the Tommy Jones Obelisk and we then return along the Graig Fan Ddu Ridge.

Meet at the car park at the top of the Black Mountain on the A4069 GR SN 733 188 OS Map OL12 (NOT the one with the viewpoint).  From the car park to the first summit of Garreg Lwyd, and then on  to Carreg yr Ogof.  We then join the “Funeral route”  and head to Nant Sali Morris.  The route can be very boggy and rocky in places.  If the weather is good we will be rewarded with spectacular views.

Firstly ascend to Table Mountain and the remains of the Old Iron Age Hill Fort, before climbing slightly further and turning towards The Darren. Using the Beacons Way, lanes and fields we will then descend and return back to Crickhowell using the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.All ascends and descends to be taken at Wednesday Wander pace.

Meet at Blackmill. Grid ref SS 933867. OS map 166. In the centre of Blackmill turn in at the war memorial, which is in front of a garage. Continue past the garage, turn immediately right past a cafe and left over the river bridge into the car park. (free parking).
The walk starts on the right hand side of the Ogmore Valley, goes through the Ogmore forest and up on to Mynydd William Meyrick, before dropping down in to the valley at Wyndham.
We will then climb up to Mynydd Llangeinwyr and staying high above Lewistown we will contour around to Cae Abbot and back to Blackmill.
