Jim Wilson.

Jim lives near Raglan, having moved to Wales with his family from the Bath area 10 years ago. He is currently retired having in his working life been MD of a small consultancy company, a member of the senior executive team at Orange, Head of Software Development for a division of HP, and in a previous lifetime a theoretical atomic physicist.

Jim is an experienced climber and mountaineer and has led climbing expeditions to the Andes, Himalayas, Spitzbergen and many other remote regions of the world. He was formerly the Central Scotland representative for the Mountaineering Council of Scotland.

Other interests include whale watching, tennis, squash, running and science fiction.

He has been hill walking in the Brecon Beacons for over 20 years and has been leading guided walks for the Society for the last six years. During four of those years he was the Guided Walks Secretary for the Society and has been Vice Chair for the last three years. Jim was elected as Chair of the Society at the 2011 AGM.
