USEFUL INFORMATION

This page contains items of information that may be useful to Society members who walk in the National Park. Although it is primarily aimed at those who participate in the Guided Walks Programmes some of the information may be useful to other walkers also.

Obstructions
This category contains items on footpaths temporarily closed or different on the ground from what is shown on the map (e.g. in managed woodland), bridges under repair, car parks closed etc

Due to an increased possibility of severe rockfall the public right of way under Sgwd yr Eira (SN 9287-0998) has been CLOSED from the 16th May. The closures are at approximately SN 9277-1007 and SN 9288-0995. As at 11th June the Forestry Commission are looking at their options but in the mean time they are applying for a six month temporary closure order. Further information will be posted here as soon as it is known.

Footpath problems when you are out and about in the Park?
Please report any problems with footpaths and rights of way such as obstructions, map errors, misleading signs, etc to the Park Authority.
